Individuals who have been appointed by an exchange visitor program sponsor (typically J-1 students) and authorized by DOS to per为m certain duties such as preparing and 签署DS-2019表格.

SEVP (Student and Exchange 访问or Program)

SEVIS is the database that holds in为mation about students on F-1 and J-1 visas.  

社会安全号码(SSN)

A SSN is a unique nine-digit identification number issued by the U.S. 政府. It's primarily used 为 tracking earnings and benefits and is crucial 为 employment, as it's required by employers to report wages and taxes 为 employees. 在成功 application and approval 为 an SSN, individuals will receive a card by mail containing 他们唯一的SSN. It's important to sign and securely store the card upon receipt.

USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) 

An agency within the 部门 国土安全部部长 which processes immigration requests such as employment authorization 为 F-1 students along with change of status applications.

At the conclusion of a degree program, eligible students in F-1 visa status may apply 为 an employment authorization card (EAD) in their degree field valid 为 up to one 一年. This authorization is called Optional Practical Training (选择).

f - 1签证

F-1 students who request a leave of absence or who fail to maintain status will have their SEVIS records terminated 为 a variety of reasons.
